About the Role

Bob's Auto is a family-owned shop that's been keeping Cleveland-area drivers on the road for 50 years. We hold a mobile fleet-maintenance contract for a regional ambulance service, and our Mobile Service Technician performs scheduled oil changes and preventive maintenance on a fleet of 31 ambulances — right where the ambulances are stationed, during low-demand hours.

You'll travel to fleet locations across Northeast Oklahoma — Owasso, Glenpool, Sand Springs, Vinita, Cleveland, Cleora, and Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa — using Ford and Motorcraft parts and keeping careful records on every unit. We're looking for someone dependable and thorough who understands that the crews counting on these vehicles can't afford to have one down.

What you'll do

  • Change engine oil and oil filters on-site.

  • Change engine air filters every three months and cabin air filters every six months, using only approved Ford/Motorcraft parts.

  • Check and adjust all engine and mechanical fluid levels, and top off windshield washer fluid as needed.

  • Check and inflate tires to the pressure noted on the tire sidewall, and lubricate all door latches and hinges.

  • Inspect headlights, turn signals, and hazard lights for proper operation.

  • Properly dispose of used oil, filters, and waste off-site in a manner meeting.

  • Oklahoma DEQ and industry standards, including spill cleanup.

  • Document each unit fully — Vehicle Number, location, mileage, services performed, next service due, and any deficiencies — and affix a next-service decal to the windshield

What we're looking for

  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

  • Hands-on automotive maintenance experience; comfortable performing oil changes and preventive service on light- and medium-duty vehicles.

  • Available to work weekends — Saturday and Sunday are required — and to travel between fleet locations across Northeast Oklahoma.

  • Careful and reliable with documentation and proper handling of used oil and hazardous waste.

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.

Physical requirements

  • Occasionally lift and/or move over 50 pounds.

  • Work with tools on vehicles, including overhead work.

  • Work in tight spaces as the repair requires.

  • Have the dexterity to efficiently use hand tools.

  • Walk and stand for the majority of the workday.

  • Drive to and between customer locations throughout the day.
