Humble Beginnings
Bob’s Auto began in 1976 in a single home garage on Main Street in Cleveland, Oklahoma. With a floor jack, a handful of tools, and a deep respect for honest work, Bob Lamkin built his business the old-fashioned way — by showing up, doing it right, and standing behind every job.
As the shop grew, Bob moved west across town, steadily expanding through the years until the early ’90s, when he built what is now our flagship location. His philosophy never changed: do good work, be honest, and give people what they pay for.
That mindset became the foundation of Bob’s Auto — and the family business it still is today. Each of Bob’s kids — Brett, Brad, Trisha, Jimmy, and Amber — learned the trade by working in the shop, growing up alongside the business and the community it served.
Bob & Marsha
For more than 35 years, Bob and Marsha Lamkin ran the shop side by side — partners in business, family, and service. Many of you came to know them not just as owners, but as familiar faces who genuinely cared about the people who walked through the door.
Day in and day out, they worked together to build something lasting, with a little help from their trusted shop companion, Buddy the Jack Russell Terrier. Through long days, hard work, and countless conversations across the counter, Bob and Marsha created more than a repair shop — they built a place people trusted.
Their legacy lives on in every repair, every handshake, and every customer who still calls Bob’s Auto “their shop.”
Family Owned
Today, Bob’s Auto remains family owned and proudly independent. In 2025, their son Jimmy purchased the shop from Marsha, carrying the family legacy forward while preparing it for the next generation.
With our 50th anniversary in 2026, we’re honored to continue what Bob and Marsha started — blending small-town values with modern service, technology, and care. Many of our team members have been with us for decades, and every employee is treated like family.
We’re proud of where we come from, excited about where we’re headed, and grateful to serve the community we grew up in and still call home. When you visit Bob’s Auto, you’re not just a customer — you’re part of the family.
